Lay a garment that fits you well flat on a hard surface and measure edge to edge with a soft tape. All AURENOATH measurements are taken flat, so this is the most accurate way to compare.
Chest / Pit to Pit
Measure straight across from one underarm seam to the other. This is the single most important number for our boxy tops.
Body Length
Measure from the highest point of the shoulder at the collar straight down to the hem.
Shoulder
Measure across the back from one shoulder seam to the other, where the sleeve meets the body.
Sleeve
Measure from the shoulder seam along the outside of the sleeve to the cuff edge.
A note on our measurements
All figures are given in centimetres with inches beneath, taken flat and unstretched. Because each piece is finished by hand, allow a tolerance of roughly ±1 cm. When you're between two sizes, size down for a cleaner fit or up for extra volume.
Relaxed Camp Collar
An open, easy camp-collar cut that sits away from the neck. Wear it open over a tee or buttoned on its own.
Boxy Through Body
Cut with room through the chest and a clean, straight hem — relaxed without being oversized.
True to Design
For a closer fit, size down. For a fuller, more relaxed drape, take your usual size.
Cold hand wash only, inside out, to avoid shrinkage and protect prints, embroidery and shape. Do not machine wash. Hang dry — avoid heat and do not tumble dry. Do not iron directly over prints or patches. Cold hand wash, inside out — the garment will thank you.
How is the Cuban shirt meant to fit?
Relaxed through the body with an open camp collar. It's cut to sit away from the frame — easy over a tee or worn buttoned. If it feels tight across the chest, size up.
I'm between two sizes — what should I choose?
Size down for a cleaner, closer fit or stay with your usual size for the full relaxed drape.
Can I wear it open as a layer?
Yes — it's designed to work both open over a tee and buttoned on its own. The camp collar sits flat either way.
My measurement falls between chart values — is that normal?
Completely. Prioritise the pit-to-pit measurement and use the ±1 cm tolerance as your guide.
